What the . . . ?

Given the state of today's dismal economy, you can wring your hands, rend your garments and fret yourself into a panic attack or . . . .

Or, you can get mad, wise up and resolve to maintain a decent standard of living by saving every precious penny whenever and wherever you can.

We can't help you at the gas pump, with sky-high utility bills or soaring credit card interest rates. But we can help you get the biggest bang for your buck on groceries by reducing your food bill by as much as 50 per cent.

How the . . . ?

We monitor the nation's food distribution network for going-out-of-business grocery stores, convenience stores and drug stores. Then we swoop in to snatch up the stock. We also harvest excess inventory, rotated stock, seasonal items and «bent-and-dent» goods pulled from the shelves of national grocery chains, their suppliers and warehouses.

Aisle1 150x112Because we buy entire semi-truck loads of groceries at below-wholesale prices, we're able to offer below-retail prices on all the same brand-name goods you'll find at any supermarket or Big Box discount retailer. That includes pretty much anything canned, bottled, boxed or otherwise packaged.

Plus, there's a huge assortment of health and beauty aids, candy, laundry and cleaning supplies, paper goods and pet food--all at bargain-basement prices.

What we don't have--yet--are meat, dairy or frozen foods items. Refrigeration units, we concluded, would take up too much space in our micro store, consume too much energy and add to our overhead costs.

But, watch for Focker Phase Two in the not-too-distant future.

Meet the Family . . .

Wtfocker 150x142We're not quite sure of the year that Great, Great, Great Granddaddy William Thaddeus Focker began his career in the Dutch countryside, but generation after generation of Fockers have been a driving force of mercantile and innovative products, while keeping service to their communities personal and fair.

Our goal at W. T. Focker & Co. is to continue that tradition.

Flyingfocker 144x200One notable Focker was a coffee merchant in the Netherlands, and son Anthony went on to develop Fokker Aircraft...a worthwhile addition in WWI.

Soon more and more Fockers left their homelands in Holland and made their way to the United States. In tracing their roots, it seems they all had something in common. A desire for helping their neighbors, providing a service or product, and being sensitive to the ever changing and increasing needs of families.

Many of the Fockers settled in America's heartland and grocery growing areas such as Indiana and Iowa.

Grannyfannyfocker 147x200Granny Fanny Focker landed in the northern Ozarks in Boone County Missouri. Raising her Fockerettes, Granny Fanny knew more ways to stretch a dollar and a bag of beans than most around.

In their honor, we hope to walk in the footsteps of the Fockers who went before us and offer great products at fantastic prices with personal service.
